Terms of Service

Last updated: 15 April 2026

Template disclaimer. This page is a plain-English starting point. Before you go to market, have an Australian lawyer tailor these terms to your business.

1. The agreement

These terms are a contract between you and Turnqey (“we”). By creating an account you accept them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.

2. Your account

  • You’re responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity under your account.
  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Don’t share your account with other people — invite them via the built-in invitations.

3. Acceptable use

  • Don’t use Turnqey to access properties without authorisation.
  • Don’t attempt to reverse-engineer or disrupt the service.
  • Don’t use it for anything illegal or that harms other users.

4. Subscriptions & billing

  • All prices are in Australian Dollars and billed via Stripe.
  • Subscriptions renew monthly unless you cancel. You can cancel anytime from the customer portal.
  • Refunds are not offered for partial periods but we’ll consider fair-use requests.
  • We may change prices with 30 days’ notice.

5. Smart lock operations

Turnqey is an operator layer on top of third-party smart locks via our partner Seam. We are not the manufacturer of the locks and can’t guarantee connectivity. If the underlying lock service is unavailable, lock operations may fail. You are responsible for maintaining a physical key backup for each property.

6. Availability & uptime

We aim for high availability but don’t guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be announced where possible.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We’re not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

8. Termination

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, don’t pay, or use the service in a way that puts other users at risk.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the courts of Victoria have exclusive jurisdiction.
